yeah I went from a ke70 to ae71, and in the future I wouldn't think about a ke70 unless it was mint, or you have parts readily available for whatever you are going to put in it.
If you don't like slanty, just convert it.

    I have had both KE70 and AE71

I have the AE71 at the moment.

I like the AE71 as it has the 5 speed manual and the 1.6lt (4AC) VS the 4K which had the 4 speed manual, 1.3lt.

The good thing is that the parts are interchangeable, for example the doors front guards and bonnet.

I actual prefer the Flat Front on the KE70 vs the Slant Front AE71.

One day I would like to convert my Slant Front to a Flat Front as I think it looks tougher

AE71 might be worth more cuz it is a higher level trim of car... Maybe

    on this forum perhaps.

to the rest of the world both cars are worth nothing.

keep searching the trading post for a more realistic price.

having said that any ke70/ae71 (or any old car in general) that is able to pass a RWC first go i think is worth $600-800. if it cannot the price should be significantly lower, as passing RWC legitimately is not an easy task on a 30yr old car unless it has had some work done recently and/or kept well maintained.

no way i would pay 2k for a 71 - most ppl on this forum would gut the thing and replace it with 86 gear and a 4a

    so if u get a 70 for $200, $250 for pedal box, $200 x members, $80 clutch master, $100 tail shaft - basically you have a gutted 71.

you can do a 70 cheaper then a 71 np.

    and 70's look better

let me know when you find a ke on here for $200, you only find cheap e7s on the side of the road etc etc, so whether it's an ae or ke if you're lucky enough to spot one they should both hopefully be pretty cheap
