ah ok man, thanks for the heads up... the ecu has AE86 written on it? but it goes harder than the bigport i think? is there a clear way of telling if its big or small port? is it visually different? i could get a photo of the one i pulled out?

easist way may be to look at the plug.
the bigport ones have a sorta round plug with 3 pins, pretty sure the smallport ones have a grey square plug with 4 pins?
i think also the smallport one uses the smaller type ignition leads on the main ignition lead from the coil to the dizzy cap.
