Rear coilover options?

Can anyone tell me what rear ae86/ke70 coilover setups they are using? I'm currently looking at just getting a set of k-sports from the US -

I already have front ae86/hsd sleeves so I will be selling off the new k-sport fronts for anyone interested.

Or is there a cheap local option? I'm after a complete rear coilover like in the link above, not the seperate shock and spring combo some companies make.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

t3 have seperate rear coilovers based round kyb agx shocks, good if you dont plan on being slammed

the reason the other companies go a seperate shock spring configuration is because the actual shock turret isn't really meant to support the whole weight of the rear end, jsut make sure you do the required bracing of the turret before you just go slamming coilovers in, is there any real reason you'd like to run coilovers over a seperate spring shock configuration with adjustable seats?

I am planning on doing the required bracing so thanks for the heads up. The main reason I'm after the single coilover setup is to give me more room to make my current 3" under diff exhaust into an over diff.
This will give me more clearance over speed bumps etc.
I also plan on stiffening up the rear end a bit more and possibly going a bit lower all round.

yeah fair enough, don't see why r32 coilovers wouldn't go in, can get em bullshit cheap second hand anyway even just for test fitting

t3 are too long and the shock is too soft.

ive seen fc used but the upper perch arrangement was pretty ghetto. could obviously be improved upon with some custom parts.

the problem is there isnt really enough room in the turret and the spring/hat etc will foul on the body.

you can have them made on order through GAB a uk company. gilly was having them made and calling them his own but really anyone can order them, you just need to know what to ask for - pin top at the correct length, eye bottom correct i.d, correct stroke/overall length.

i modified my last 86 chassis/diff to fit a universal fit motor sport coil over.

i couldnt say for sure if it was the coil over, or the 4 link (both probably) but that car had by far the best rear end set up ive ever had.

i.e i think rear coilovers are worth the trouble. the only reason id run the normal set up is it looks more factory, so youre less likely to get a defect.
