    Default 86 jdm brakes

wondering if jdm front brakes will go onto adm struts or is it totally different shit. i have adm brakes and struts but the brakes are fucking depressing to look at. is it as easy as tracing down the discs ,calipers and caliper mounting brackets and BAM! they bolt onto my stub axels. any help is appreciated. any other upgrades that bolt on would be appreciated. cheers fellas

You want RX7 brakes. JDM ones are not that big and just vented.

JDM calipers are the same as ADM calipers I believe, correct me if I'm wrong.
The JDM discs are vented which is where the braking is improved over the ADM set-up.
The only other difference is the JDM pads aren't as thick as ADM, because of the thicker vented JDM rotor, so you will need to sand down ADM pads or buy JDM.
Therefor if your Sprinter struts have ADM calipers, all you need is JDM rotors, and do the caliper rebuild if they need them.
You can get rotors from a good local brake guy. RDA's are supposed to be better than DBA's.
Have a look in the sponsors section.
If you really want, I have some JDM calipers and RDA rotors for sale.
    PM me.

    unfortunately you are wrong

the Jap calipers are almost exactly the same, but they are a bit wider to accomodate the vented disc. not that much wider. but they are wider. (the vented rotor is 18mm, and i think the solid rotor is 12mm)

adm calipers almost fit on a vented disc, and some ppl have got thinner brake pads (GSL rally sport sells them) to allow the disc to fit in the ADM caliper.

standard ADM and JDM brake pads are exactly the same.

also you cannot get DBA jap ae86 rotors they dont have a listing, but you can get RDA (rda7500s is the number)

JDM calipers are wider to allow for the vented rotor

Get some QFM 750 degree pads, hi temp brake fluid, braided lines and decent slotted rotors and you will have a decent braking setup for the front.

With SR you will want an FC rx-7 brake upgrade with the 262 mm rotors though. AJPS bolt on kit, around 1000 bucks.

Well thats good to know. Thanks guys.
As Konakid said, go the FC upgrade. JDMs wont be up to the job of slowing a singing SR.
