I take it no one has ever heard of these injectors being used?????
Car - AE86
motor - Bigport 4age
use - Street
problem - Installing Quads/Computer
Does anyone know if RB20 injectors will suit a Bigport 4age?
The injectors are very similar in design and physical dimensions. The only difference that I can tell is the top part that fits into the rail is slightly smaller in diameter, I dont' know if this will be an issue as it still feels like it will seal.
I am about to put an adaptronic in, and can get some injectors for free, they are 270cc which will give a bit more headroom and allow for further modifications down the track. They are also high resistance which I've read will be better for the computer.
Just looking for a confirmation that they will work really, as I'm fairly sure they will, just not 100% sure about the seal into the rail.
Cheers
Blake

As far as i can tell, RB20 injectors and 4AGE injectors are exactly the same size (11mm).
People often upgrade RB20's to run 550cc RX7 injectors (which 4AGE guys going for 200rwkw+ also do), so yes, absolutely no reason why RB20 injectors can't be used on a 4AGEThere is a possibility the O-rings on the top of the RB20 injectors you have have dried out/turned to crap, and they make it *appear* like the top bit is smaller.
One other thing to consider is the LENGTH of the RB20 vs. 4AGE injector, but modifying the plastic spacers (or adding some washers if it's bigger) is easy, i'd definitely take the time if it's required - especially given the injectors are free![]()
Ah, Cheers for that, I didn't make the RX7 connection between the two, should of thought about it some more.
Thanks
