Question regarding Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT)

The air temp sensor would have been in the air filter box, which you don't have. However you can easily find one from any regular AE112R-ALMDKQ or similar Corolla.

SamQ - I'm going for open ITB setup. So i just place the iat sensor in the strut tower or anywhere in the engine bay?

the closer you can get it to the opening to your trumpets the better. I guess off a strut brace would be ideal but the strut tower will be the next best thing.

Are you going to put filters on that?

I also have a question regarding the O2 sensor. A friend told that the 20v O2 sensor heats up when the engine is running (O2 sensor not yet planted on the headers) is this true?

Yes, your picture is of a air temp sensor. It is a variable resistor and has 2 wires. You can place it where ever you like. The water temp sensor also works in the same way, but looks different.

A 4 wire O2 sensor has it's own heater. A 1 wire O2 sensor does not. You can probably use either.

If you are using the Toyota ECU, you probably want as many of the sensor hooked up as you can.

If you are using a programable ECU, you need a minimum of CAS, TPS and water temp hooked up.
