i just bought a fuel setup like what your talking about from steroid chickens.
baffled tank to stop starving the vl lift then into a surgie and a 910.
you can fit a surge tank under the car it's just a squeeze.

the tank itself has had a hole cut out of it under the fuel tank feed and from the looks of it a swirl pot or similar has been welded in with some baffles. the baffles look to be metal 'fins' leading towards the pot.
i can get pics of the setup if you need it.

maybe it might be cheaper to just get a jdm tank?
