few questions
alright ive got a few questions dont laugh if some sound a bit noobish
1) do 4ac run alright with avgas cos i can get it real cheap
2) when rolling guards do i need to take the black plastic inside out permanantly if so does this make it loud inside
3) i heard from a bloke that theres a place in SA that sells real cheap motors but with engne numbers ground off and yes i know that its real dodgy pm me if you know
4) is there a forum like this for utes cos i need bits for my triton
5) would i be able to do a 20v conversion in a weekend or would i be better off 16v ive never done a conversion but ive taken about 3 motors out and put back in (only in aircraft which are fair simpler)

5: if you have everything all together 100% ready to bolt in i guess you could but there will always be something that will go wrong so i would say no you cant do it in a weekend and yeah a 16v is easier

20v will take a bit of work pending hwat car its going in
1) it's a higher octane fuel so yeah it'll run sweet, wind some timing in and experience the immense power or possibly having an extra 2kwatw from avgas
2) no i've never noticed any noise difference by taking the liners out, it's just to stop mud and dirt and shit flinging inside the guard and door jam
3) that sounds like a bad idea, if you get pulled over by a cop and they inspect engine numbers expect to be bent over

5) that's a pretty broad question, i'd guess at no cause shit always pops up you aren't expecting or forgot, make room for 1 week at the minimum
3 - if you take it over the pits, they will have to stamp a new number onto it. The number comes from the dept of transport, so you could be getting into more trouble than its worth.

fergie: Put avgas in your 4A-C, advance the ignition timing a bit. Drive it. Fix the oil leaks. Replace suspension bushes with Nolathene. Buy new shocks. Enter hill climb.
Do a conversion in 2 years time.
