Default rebuilding smallport to hold boost

    motor - 4AGE 16V smallport

    use - street/ track (drift)

personal situation -I am starting to rebuild 4age for boost

Ok, I am building up a Smallport for turbo, i am looking to run 12-16psi and about 160-180KWatw. I have started gathering parts and i am looking at other parts i will need.

    7 rib Block:
    cheap rebuild/ gasket kit
cometic head gasket (sized to balance compression)
    ACL race bearings
    4AGZE pistons
    stock rods/ crank (balanced)
    ARP rod bolts

    Smallport head:
    Bigport Cams
    toda valve springs
    7MGTE valves/ headwork to suit
    Shaved/ ported (to raise compression 8.5 - 9.0)

Is there any parts that i am missing that are essential on worked motors? especially to hold boost?
can i reuse the engine bolts or do i need to buy after market?
    thanks

engine bolts as in crank bolts or head bolts? would deifnately run new ones, crank bolts not to sure, if they're a vailable i'd chuck new ones in to be safe anyway

if your talking about headd bolts, then i'm pretty sure they are one use only, well thats how i use them anyway.

if i was in your position i would use arp head studs.

yeah thats what i thought, they were all one use only. so i should just get a Full set of ARP head studs and main studs

All of the engine bolts are reusable. I wouldn't reuse the flywheel or headbolts though. I WOULD reuse mainbolts. With the amount of power you're talking about, don't waste your money on ARP stuff unless you can get them cheaper than toyota stuff.

I think you can save alot of money by removing some unnecessary bits:

cometic head gasket <-- stock HG is great, and it'd be safe to have it standard as a fuse incase of massive boost spikes or something of the like
toda valve springs <-- not needed
    7MGTE valves <-- not needed
Shaved/ ported (to raise compression 8.5 - 9.0) <-- compression of the ae92 pistons are already 8.5, and ae101 are 9.0. by the time you deck the head and block (to remove the warping) your compression will be pretty good.

yeah toxin is very very right, running such boost levels i wouldn't want to raise comp anymore and yeah i doubt you'll see any real gain from the valves

so get a stock toyota headgasket?
i was thinking of getting the toda valve springs because a bit further down the track i was thinking of getting 264 7.9 cams
ok so i wont bother with valves
i have the early pistons so they would be 8.5 compression?

what compression ratio did you want to end up with? also where do you want your redline to be?

well i thought the pistons i had were 8.0 c/r but they must be 8.5 i wanted between 8.5 and 9.0
well its for drift so i will be hitting redline quite a bit so the safer the better, 7500 and 8000 ? that sound about right?
