KE70 K40 vs K50 tailshaft

personal situation - Just wondering if somebody can tell me if the tailshaft for a K40 is the same as a K50?

i have heard that it will bolt up to 'early t50s', but i just don't know where the early/late line is crossed.

confirm, i used a t18 tailshaft for a k50 to t18 diff

correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 'early t50s' came from series 1 t-18's
