    Dylan, Theres hundreds of floating axle assemblies around. You'll cringe at the price of a fully built one. Even a cheapish one like a semi-floater Quaife kit for an Escort is almost $2k just for the hubs.
    A full floater hub and axle kit is a lot more again (like say a Group 4 ZF works style full floating axle, probably nearing the $4-5k mark completed). Then if you add an internal CV'd setup with wedged axle tubes...more thousands on top.

    anyone have any figures on weight for toyota IRS and s13 IRS VS a live -t-series?

    i guess an advantage of s13 IRS is parts (axles, diff, lsd, adjustable arms etc) are all readily available with big after market support.
