i want to fit 20v itbs on 3-sge

hi guys considering this as the cut and shut job on the intake has cracked again,
the engine is gen2(i think) from mr2 fitted to ae86 running microtech

is there a manifold available to fit the 20v itbs ?
is it a worthwhile upgrade?

if anyone has done it before or has some info on doing it, that would be great

i know you get ITB kits for 2nd gen 3sge's, though - they are not cheap. Unsure if the 20v ones would fit.

Have a look at - they used that have stuff for the 3sge (doesnt look like it now) but i have got some stuff off them a few times and they are pretty helpful, so might be able to help you out.

Also, do you know what the microtech is using for the fuel map? like air temp and manifold air pressure? or is still using an airflow sensor?

yeah biggo did it using what appeared to be just exhuast pipe sections.

you can get adapter plates to suit 20v quad throttles. i know at kyp they have a beams 3s with 20v quads on it

surgest bracing or find a new welder for current manifold.

if you already have a ECU then ITBs wouldnt be that expensive to swap.

id say a worth while upgrade and a nice bump in power when combined with some cams.

I guess we better ask what version of 3S you have, also show a pic of your manifold maybe we can sugest what needs changing

its a gen 2 sam, same as biggos i think...

neg, his is different. But im 99% sure its the early model flange bolt spacing, so maybe thing of trying to score an early gen2 tvis mani, they have the throttle body in the middle so no cutting and shutting.
