    Default xt130 strut/ brake problem

    well ive just fitted in my xt130 strut coilovers onto t3 camber tops and xt130 lcas with 40mm rcas and t3 knuckles.


    ive got a pretty decent amount of camber but the rotor is rubbing pretty horrifically on the lca.
    the brakes are apparently an upgrade though i wouldnt know for certain.

    can post pics if need be.

    is there any fix for this? they came out of a ke70 so it should be possible..?

    its the offset of the steering knuckles that cause this...

    if youre careful with a hammer (*yes i know how it sounds) you can tap it in a bit, if thats not enough, youll need cut and shut ra40 steering knucles or similar

    im not really keen on those knuckles

    Use xt130 control arms will solve it.

    The T3 Knuckle doesn't have enough offset - as in where the balljoint runs through needs to be offset from where the strut bolts up - like an RA60 knuckle, but in reverse.
    You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

    I found that out today.... I knew it would hit, but forgot in my enthusiasm. Fixored with a large hammer.

    biggo ive got xt130 lcas in. im thinking of getting negative camber rcas does any1 know how good these are?

    how effective is the use of a hammer? does there need to be much violent action happening?

    what side of the knuckles needs massaging?

    LCA needs massaging. With about 5 mins of careful tapperoo I have about 2mm clearance. Start from the centre, work around the lip.
    Check clearance as you go by having a bottle jack under the lca, place strut on knuckle, go through the whole turning motion and up n down.

    Use a 4lb hammer, try not to hit the bj tho haha
