    Updated Dec 13 - 2011

Fully re-bushed bar the rear trailing arms, they don't seem to require attention just yet. Happy with it so far, I'm planning to keep it as a track car for a little while, I like to hit up the fun days at Winton thrice in a year (Consistantly gets under 1:58 and my bro clocked me doing a 1:54) and I will get a sparco seat and approved harness soon too to do some club level stuff in the new year, maybe the 6 hour, some sprints and hillclimbs etc. Still always stuff to do on the car, looking forward to doing a better brake upgrade now, might build a coilover set based off RA40 struts in the new year and get some serious brakes happening.

    When I got it.

The plan is to not be driving the AE82 I bought as "cheap transport".

Won't be spending any money on this I hope. Just use parts I have already.

Will just be dropped on my pedders springs, manual conversion, MA61 rims with 185/60's all round or 14X7 +2 volk fins with 185/50 yokohama A539's all round once I decide on a colour to restore the centres. Will make strut braces and custom panhard. Gotta find some mounts and endcaps for the rear bar. Have front and rear square type chrome bumpers on the way from NZ as we speak. Got DX rear lights somewhere, gotta pull 'em out and wire up before roady too. Change bent panels, got the left gaurd today. Blue T-18 seats, AE82 twinky wheel.

So yeah going to make the handling goodies, only parts I will still need to buy are the rear endcaps and bar mounts and maybe some swaybars.

Found the carpet to be absolute mint condition today, was very happy. Seems as though it's been hidden by floor mats all these years. Ben was around giving me a hand, he managed to remove all the CSX stripes while I worked on rust repairs on the left rear wheel arch and under the back bumper. Better condition front guards are on it now. Tested the wiring in the boot for the plug that goes in the right taillight so I can change the plug in my DX taillight so it can be used in this car. Filed out holes to make the studs on the lights fit as dodgey aftermarketness sucks balls. Car will be looking pretty tidy soon, getting roady this week. Oh, now rocking mint T-18 buckets in the front, rear looks a little too short in the squab to make it up all the way to the parcel shelf so some crafty work may be in order to make that work soon too. I just need to put headlights in, modify the DX lights to suit the ADM plug and finish rust repairs tomorrow or monday. Will drop it and put rims on when I convert to manual which shouldn't be in the too distant future.

My bro and I went to Heathcote today to get my T-18 out of my yard, he pulled the diff out of the T-18 while I got the pedal assembly out of my old AE71. Grabbed one of my other T-50's and brought home all manual conversion gear. Will check tomorrow to see if T-18 tailshaft fits the spline of the AE71 gearbox, as well as finish my rust repairs.

Tailshaft is from a series 2 T-18, I recall reading some time ago that the series 1 doesn't fit yet series 2 does. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Worst case I'll need to get an AE86 front section i guess.

Fuck yesssss, S2 T-18 tailshaft fits woo hoo. In other news TNT just brought me a delivery of fresh chrome bars, haha. Went to ABS thismorning to drop off my flywheel for machining and ordered a HD clutch while I was there. Pics of stuff later maybe. Annual leave is awsome, I never want to go back to work.
