hey fellas,
Long story short....
bought this off of Keto quite some time ago as a stocker, sold it to a mate...
a few years later bought it back for the same price with additional ma's and gutter damage.
over about 24 months slowly built it up to this:
Parts included:
Front:
Kelway strutbrace
AJPS RCA's
ae86 struts
qfm pads
kyb excel g shortstrokes
8kg springs
corona lca's
14x7 -10ish american made wheels.
Rear
6kg springs
Ajps panhard rod
Boge turbo shoks
locker
"regency approved" AJPS weld in rear brace
14x7 -10ish american made wheels
AJPS rear brace:
then i managed to get hit by this:
and she just sat for roughly 13 months untill i pulled my finger out and started getting her ready for regency.....
started by raising her up with ae86 standard stroke suspention/springs:
whilst she was over the pit had replaced:
-superpro Trailing arm bushes
-superpro LCA bushes
-standard panhardrod bushes
-superpro rackmount bushes
-superpro casterrod bushes
-slim line ball joints
-rack ends
-AJPS tie rod ends
-rack boots
-all break hoses
can happily say steering is mint! absolutely no slop what-so-ever.
After all that had been completed, got stuck into some rust, that "looked" rather superficial:
happy to say she came up a treat, this is what the ugly duckling looked like awaiting her trip to regency:
):
fortunately the ke passed first go with flying colours, at this current stage she can be seen rolling around stocker bar having the 14x7s on....
having all the bushes replaced has made a HUGE difference... noticeably firmer ride even with stock suspention in.. Highly recommended.
I'm gradually hoarding parts for her, once i have everything will rent out my wheel alligners pit again and fingers crossed get everything in, in one hit.
have aquired:
-cusco lower trailing arms
-cusco under brace
-BILSTEIN coilovers: Bilstein inserts, cusco cambertops, AJPS upper hat system, King spring coilover springs (200mm) in 5.8kg and 65mm helper springs.
looking to aquire in near future:
- AJPS traction brackets
- BILSTEIN rear shocks with springs to match.
- Velo Milano or GP90
- upper Cusco trailing arms, half bush half rosejoint type
- Trying to justify Cusco caster rods.
- Rear and front swaybars
- 15x8 superlights.
- Sump bash-guard
would also like to say a quick thanks to Dave at AJPS, for all the late night tech related calls haha
he really is a wealth of knowledge.
well that'll do for now... will update with picks of parts as i get them... as well as work completed..
cheers!
