    Default 7afe/7age questions

hey all i have got myself a 7afe and im going to be making myself a 7age 16v here are my questions 3

1.it didnt come with a harmonic balance pulley will my jdm 4age 16v harmonic balance pulley fit the 7afe crank?

2.with the stock pistons and my 4age 16v head what compression be? mind you i am decking the block and head with a trd metal headgasket 0.5mm

3.i will post some pics of the hone do you think you could tell me what you think as i think im just going to use the current pistons and rings but just change the rods out with spool forged rods and is it possible to remove the pistons and rings without damaging them and reusing them?

    cheers all

    the dyno pull to 300rwkw

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

ok just got back, sorry I didnt get to your PM in time.

1: you will have to use the 4age pulley either way, also the toothed cam belt drive pulleys as well.

2: 11.3:1 with a stock gasket and probably over 12:1 easy with the 0.5mm gasket, assuming your pistons don't hit the head.

3: no one can determine this over internet pics, see an engine builder. Also the size of the pistons need to match the bore exactly, keep in ind there are 3 different "81mm: toyota sizes alone

7a and 4a(16v) head bolts are the same.

standard head bolts are great but if you insist the head not the block on a 4a/7a determines the length. So just your usual 4age studs

there isn't such a thing as a 7age head you make a 7age by putting the twincam 4age head on the 7afe bottomend thus making the 7age and yes i have the 4age head on my current engine thanks anyway
