    Default Ae86 compliance... Please help

I'm buying an ex jap ae86 Circuit car, it has import aproval but has never been complied or rego'd in aus. It's fairly stripped, I'm planning on putting full interior in before I comply it, I'm just wanting to know how hard it will be to comply and how much it might cost.
Any help would be great, please

has it been in the country for more than a year?
pretty sure because its a pre 88 it just needs a roadworthy, not compliance as such..

In Victoria it will need a full VASS check- effectively an engineers certification- and will need to meet the appropriate ADRs for its year; that includes emissions, and stuff like seat belts, child restraint mounts, light globes, fluids, refrigerant, brake pads, tyres, possibly side intrusion bars, any mods will need to be within vicroads standards and so forth.

It will also need to pass a roadworthy.

i also remember hearing cars had to be complied within a year of import approval.. my memory is pretty foggy, but its stuck in the back of my mind.. may be worth checking out before purchasing.

I'm getting a Corolla complied in SA. Main things I have to look out for is 1) Side intrusion bars, 2) ADR approved seatbelts, 3) Roadworthy condition car (so bushes, steering bits, leaky engine, brakes) 4) Any rust in the car, 5) Emmisions

Thats about the main things I know off
