As above if it's hitting then your only real option might be to sell what you have and buy those. By conincidence though I had someone ask me today if I know of any blacktop trumpets for sale, this might be really easy for you.

I just came inside from grinding a
Bit off cly4 trumpet to make it fit lol not ideal but will get me out of trouble.
Bought mine from tweak it good turn around however as I'm running webbers not itb's, I bought those injector bungs off them which are a useless peice of shit.

I can't imagine it making that much of a difference though in that area? I guess yuo could try it with a thin piece of wood or something? how much more clearence do you need?

sam, i havent actualy bought the trumpets as yet, just wanted to get some feed back before i lay out my hard earnd cash.
HOPEFULLY my front cut arrives this week and i can dummy fit it in and then check clearances, will post some pics up as it is happening, so keep your eyes peeled!![]()
i run the 50mm SPtec trumpets on my 16v with blacktop quads and ive got at least a good inch of clearence in there
are you planning on just using socks filters? when you measure up it's probably a good idea to allow more than just the physical minimum as having something nearby does affect airflow.

yeah thats it. the spacer made a huge difference. i would try using a spacer before you go cutting out trumpets. the difference was from not even being able to fit the trumpet in, to bolting it up with clearance to the master. i cant remeber the length of the trumpets but johhny k would know
