Hi guys was just wondering if a 1/2 bolt in 5 point cage is legal in NSW for everyday driving.

No. to have a half cage legally in NSW , the rear seats have to be removed and the rear seatbelts have to be removed and engineered.. I have one for sale if u are after one

pretty similar rules everywhere in aus for this.
you are not allowed any form of cage to come closer than 150mm to the back of the rear-most seats.
hence you have to remove the rear seats/seatbelts to make it legal.
this is so if you crash they can cut you out easily.
yes, i also see the irony of not needing to be cut out if you have a full cage.
