hey guys.. so just been under a month and not much has been done. front rio is now gone and front bar back on . brakes kit has finally arrived after a month of waiting .. so aw11 should fingers cross be able to move under it own power very soon ...

bolts wouldn't come off so sprayed heaps of wd-40 and did this to em.

    then this happened

not a big cut, but enough for me to go get a tetanus shoot.

like i said .. i put an order in for a complete rebuild kits from the Canada .. cause Toyota AUS wanted to charge me a arm and leg for 1 seal kit. Order braided lines from the States and only thing left is clutch line.

the caliper looked pretty good .. seals and everything looked ok

off came the seal , then a "simple" anti-clock wise twist and the piston came out and .......

    OMG!!!! what the???

so this weekend i'll be re-building the brakes ..

my advice to anybody with a car that has more then 180,000km is to re-build your brakes .

    stay tuned for more pics.

    thanks bro.

took 2 step forward and then 1 step backwards this weekend. brake disc in . brakes calipers, done . braided lines, in (they don't fit exactly as oem but they fit.) and then it just went down hill from there the cv joints were nice and firm and protective boots in good condition . only thing it really needed was just some new grease and a clean up. so long story short . the inner cv-joint was easy enough to disassemble and clean . i should of stop there, the thought even crossed my mine.. but i didnt . the outer boot came out and after getting most of the grease out .. i still wasn't happy and couldn't leave it at that .. so after 3 hours of staring and bashing it with a hammer .. it moved a 2mm or so .. i gave up and jumped online only to find out that TOYOTA CONSIDERS THE OUTER CV JOINT AND SHAFT AS 1 UNIT .

hating my self right now ...
