Okay so i decided i needed a plenum for matsuri. I made one on thursday, then glenn (that beams celica guy) told me i was wasting my time if i didn't have stacks.
FFFUUUUUUUUUUUU. So i cut it up, added a second plate (to make it easy to put on/remove the plenum). It was a fluke that i had another set of 70mm stacks lying around - i chopped them down as small as i could - 35mm - pretty good. This is also my first attempt at alloy welding - that shit is easy! Noisy as hell running the welder on AC though.
It has a 4" body and inlet - i actually made it that size because - a) it was the only size tube i had in alloy, and b) with the original design, my infant sized hands meant i could do up the bolts for the plenum from inside the plenum lol.
Yes, i had to cut the ends of the 1st and 4th stacks - and yes, i'm also concerned the plenum might try and remove the clutch master cap without my wanting. That rubber sealing i used around the plenum is also a bag of dicks, so i'll replace that with regular gasket paper.
*Please note, i made the plenum out of stuff i had lying around - i would love to have laser-cut up the throttle body flanges etc, but this negro was FREE to make - it just cost me some time
