ok so here is what i would like to see i know there is many companies out there that make rwd headers for the 4age but there is only a few that i know of can i get some links up to the companies that make these so i can see some specs of different pipes to see what i will require very soon

    cheers

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

which motor is it for matt?
here is what i very recently got done at performance exhaust centre northmead.

1.75" primaries at over 1m long.
2.5" collector, with 2.5" mandrel bent system.

this flows very very well, not much fart in a milo tin noise, almost 0 restrictions.
the actual design of the headers and the curves that they have dont make a huge difference as long as its smooth flowing without to many sharp right angles or bends. collector design is probaly the biggest factor and a smooth flowing collector that doesnt allow any little air pockets or distrupts the air flow path with dags or globs of weld still in there, can and will affect the air waves and may cause restrictions.

here is a pic of mine

collector is now well under the car.

and example of a well designed set of headers. these are TRD headers for a BEAMS motor, notice that is no sharp angles and smooth collection points:

well this will be for my 7a but here is a question how much did they cost i would imagine a fair bit cheaper than some toda or powercraft if you got them made here

well that would depend on the time it took to develop/make them. Done properly (flow tested, etc) I doubt it would be any cheaper, in most instances they will be alot more expensive. I suppose it depends on how far you want to go though.

i think adam paid pretty much what a good set of jap extractors cost.

dont forget that the standed manifold is good till about 200hp.

I have had custom pipes made for a motorbike enigne - $1100

There are a few options, i priced out a bunch of burns stainless stuff for a new set, and that was looking at almost $1000 for material - this was at the start of the year when the AU$ wasnt as good. This is using much smaller dimaters though (1.25" primaries, 1.5" secondaries, 2" for the rest) and long ish lengths for a bike engine.

Where you going to build them yourself? or pay a place to make them?
    Cheers, plohl
