project is coming along nicely good luck with the rest of your build
I probably could of fixed it but I did want a KE70 project originally so once I smashed it it gave me the perfect excuse to start fresh.
I will yell out if I do but all is looking sweet at the moment had a few more things turn up today like thermo fan mounting kit, oil catch can, some of that plastic black tubing to hide cables, central locking and my 4age block is ready to pickup.
Just got back from Brissy last night so its rolla working time again.

Cheers man going to be bringing it up your way when its finished. Was up at a mates in Moorooka for the past week and went for a drive up Mt Nebo and Mt Glorius was awesome going to drive it up once its done to take a drive through there again.
I got stuck into my rolla again last night and got that damn 4K out! Now I can start cleaning up the engine bay.
I'm going to clean the 4K up tonight then throw it up for sale.
Engine is up for sale in for sale thread and on ebay.
Got some more work done last night.
Pulled out all the old pollution crap, coil, master cylinder, some of the brake lines and wires.
I can't seem to get the brake booster out. I'm pretty sure I've got it undone and its just stuck but I don't want to force it and break something.
I took off the master cylinder, the 4 bolts on the interior holding it in, I removed the pin that connects it to the pedal and the spring on the pedal too.
It seems loose but it just doesn't want to come out. Have I missed anything or should I just jam a big flat head screwdriver down behind it and pry it out?
Just a pic of the engine bay now.
I also bought some 20thou pistons and rings and a spigot bearing this morning so I can get the engine finished. I also bought some front and back wheel bearings.
sounds like it should come out. they usally have gaskets behind the booster so it may be stuck to that.
It looks like you have alot of work ahead of you cleaning that engine bay. I did it once and now wished i spent the extra hour painting it proper.
Yeah I tried for about 10 mins last night to get it out but no success. I think the threads are catching on the pedal box bracket. So I'll take the pedal box out because I have to anyways and then I'll see if it comes out.
I certainly do have a lot of work in front of me the engine bay is nothing though when I compare it to the amount of rust repair I have and not to mention rubbing down the whole car.
I'll just use the pressure washer to clean it down then rub it all back by hand then going to paint it 2pac black.
I know what you mean about taking the time to paint properly. I rushed my old datto and just wanted to get it painted I mixed too much thinners and it ran like a bitch.
It ended up taking me another 2 months before I got it painted again because I lost the motivation when I had to re-sand pretty much the whole car again.
Everything is getting painted from the brake lines to the engine, the undercarriage, body.
Not to mention all new bushes and everything. I've spent waaay too much on this car. So far $7798.05 and I still have another $1300 I've worked out before I pay $600 for rego lol.
I just hope its all worth it. Should look and drive good once everything's in though.
Got the old pedal box out last night and threw in the AE71 pedal box.
It was a pain in the butt to get in. The steering column couldn't go any lower and I didn't have the dash cap off so the top bolts were hard to get to because they were behind the windscreen vent.
The brake booster came straight out once the pedal box was loose.
I drilled the holes for the clutch master but I need to make the bottom hole a bit further over to the right as its about 5mm out so the brake master holes are just off.
Gotta love that plastic on the firewall it reminds me of a chocolate easter egg how it breaks.
Hanging out to get my block back from the engine shop so I can build it.
