Could get rid of her but she's the best one I've had yet she gets over arguments within half an hour.

I am trying to do the build thoroughly not really worried about getting it done ASAP. I want it done right so later on I don't have problems 27 year old bushes and bolts and dodgy cut springs and under powered brakes don't mix well with a turbo motor that's 4 times the power it was originally suppose to handle.

Probably won't sell this I'll keep it as they will start becoming very rare in good condition considering how many will be written off and stripped.
Also I'll lose waay too much money on it. The most I could get when its finished with turbo and adaptronic would be $7k and I've spent more than double that.

So I Got my new bearings packed and rotors fitted will be lowering it today and bolting up the swaybar.

I'm using the crappy looking AE86 discs I had for sale just to get it registered then going to throw on my FC brakes. They look soo crap can't wait to put my FC ones on.

Reason for this is the 86 ones look stock whereas the FC's certainly don't and I would need it engineered. This thing will be engineered once the brakes and turbo are on but I really don't want to have that hassle before I get it on the road.

That sound deadning is that the proper stuff that you mix into a gun or the shit in the can? Where, who and how much in a can? I found some once and used it on my chassis seam welding as its the best rust stoper. but i cant remeber where i got it from.

Its the shit that comes in a can that screws onto a body deadener gun. I assume its premixed so you can spray it. Its not in an aerosol can like spray paint though. You just pierce the top with the body deadener gun and spray it.
I wouldn't have though you could spray it through a normal gun as the nozzle is way too tiny for this thick shit.

    Huge update tonight!

Went to Drift Attack on Saturday then that motivated me so went nuts on Sunday day and Monday arvo. Pulled my shoulder out Sunday and finished off what I was doing Monday.

Ok so on Sunday I did some real progress on the rolla. I trial fit the engine so I could weigh down the front and finish bolting up the swaybar and tightening the LCA's. I Also pulled out all the trailing arms, painted them and replaced the bushes, installed 18mm rear adjustable swaybar, adjustable panhard rod, lowered springs, Boge turbo shocks. I gave the diff a quick hit with black paint since it was all rusty but don't care too much about it as Ill be pulling it out for another diff.
Just gotta body deaden the wheel arches, fuel tank and area around the tank then bodywork can commence.

This car I saw the other day for shits and giggles

PS the ride height bloody sucks! Although I did buy these springs only because I wanted them to pass rego. They're lowered but only 50mm from stock because my exhaust goes under the diff and I couldn't have the body too low or it would be too close to the ground and wouldn't pass rego.

So didn't get much done over the weekend as I had my Sister down from Newcastle so was stuck entertaining her on Sunday and Saturday helped a mate move house with my truck. But that's good because as payment he's going to help me with the body work.

All I got done was pulled the alternator apart painted it aluminium silver, Painted the rear cover high temp gloss black and the pulley anodised blue. I think it came out alright.

Once again not much improvement this weekend passed as I moved some stuff for a mate(Always get conned into moving stuff having a ute) and fitted a front mount intercooler to a mates Soarer so that took up all Saturday.
Sunday I spent painting my Kelway Strut Brace and finishing the Soarer.

I bought a bit of stuff last week like a lightweight flywheel, Fuel pressure regulator, Blue vacuum lines and Braided oil feed and return lines for the turbo.

Just a pic of my Strut Brace.

Done some more work tonight. Polished my Intake manifold and painted the throttle body. Cleaned up the TVIS fitted blue silicone vacuum lines. Got my New flywheel. Got my Braided turbo lines. Got to rig up the oil drain in the sump then fit the flywheel. Also I painted all my water pipes silver and pulled apart my windscreen wiper motor and painted that and a few other things.

Can't wait to get this thing out and boogying. I bought some other crap on ebay too like number plate bolts, dust caps, gear knob, fuel pressure reg. Pretty much to get it on the road just need tyres, rear brake shoes, oil, air filter, fuel and brake lines.
