Cheers man!
I picked up the flywheel off a guy I met at the pub for $150 plus my old original crossmember and swaybar so couldn't knock it back. Hopefully it works alright weighs probably 4-4.5Kg.
Coming together well, so clean!
Cheers man!

Im guessing you like the colour blue?
hey man where'd you get that flywheel and how much? i want! haha
T18 in the build
Sure do man. But also its different as most Toyota's engines are coloured Red and black. The interior is blue so I thought blue in the engine bay will look alright. The only blue on the outside will be a thin pinstripe in between the XX stripes and the calipers.
As above post got it from a guy I met at the local pub for $150 plus my old original crossmember and swaybar.
He got it off a seller on ebay for like $280 posted he said.
Dunno what they're like quality wise but its Chro-mo so can't be all bad. I know a mate had a F1 Racing clutch it worked alright but was a bit light on the pedal.
I'd say if its going in a daily they'd be fine but if you're on the track probably would spend a bit more.
Thought I might as well give an update. My motor is all finished except I have to drill and tap the air temp sensor into the intake manifold. Car has all the glass out and Ill be sanding the whole lot back this weekend.
The weekend of the 28th I'll cut out all the rust. Then the weekend after that start painting. So I'm hoping to have this thing ready to start putting back together by the 11th of September.
Here's a picture of the motor.
Also some fake bride's I bought. I know people say they're shit but honestly I sat in a genuine and these and I can't tell the difference they're carbon fibre and an exact replica. They also came with seat rails and cost me only $600 so I don't care they're not genuine. Also all the welds in the rails have good body and don't look weak. I've seen other copies that the stitching sucks and the writing on the seats are cut off but honestly I can't fault these. Most people looking at them in the car probably wouldn't even notice they aren't genuine.

theres heaps of them round man.
motor looks sooo fresh
That's probably true but from the outside they look sweet and I just couldn't justify paying $1500 per seat + seat rail. $1000 was my limit as so far I've spent 15k on parts all which you will see in good time when it goes together. I'd rather spend $600 though on these than $800 on some crappy sparco seats from Autobarn it was either that or stock.
A guy had them listed on ebay but they weren't listed as brides just carbon fibre racing seats. I don't think he has them on there anymore though cause the listing ended and I contacted him about getting 2 more for a mate and he said that he was having trouble with customs at the airport.
Its a little dirty needs a clean you can see the dust in the middle where the leads are. That's the trouble keeping it in a steel fab joint even if you cover it it gets dusty.
Anyways all crap aside some real progress will happen tomorrow 5am start.
