I agree with the above. But I would probably take the traction bracket out and buy some second hand AJPS Springs for the front and weld the diff.

Okay guys,
i've been looking around the forum and trying to figure out the best setup for my ke, im wanting a budget setup under say $600 and everyone will have a different opinion and idea on how to go about it so i fgured we do this once sticky and forget about, so to do this we need part # and where they can be found - ie Repco ahve it @ this price, this part easy to find at wrecker etc.
Now this is what i want out of the suspension. Lower, More Track, Stiff enough for the odd track day but very everyday driveable and better braking. So heres the list and if you think i've missed something or should add something add it in
Cheers

Pros & Cons Of this setup
No discussion just post up your list also say how hard it would be to do on a scale 1 - 10 (1 being simple 10 nearing impossible for the avg joe)

My First Ke...
I cut The standard springs... FREE
Put 24mm front and 18mm adjsutable rear sway bars... Think total $450.
Done.... Was fun and pretty damn grippy...
On top of this I would add:
Extra thread on caster rods and new bushes...
Threading is FREE (Well it is if you have the Die) (18x1.5)
Caster bushes. $35
And lastly NCRA. $150.
Total $635.
My car had heaps of grip and was still compy to drive...
Please note... CASTER IS KING.... makes a world of difference...
Now... If your budget gets bigger...
PS arms.... $150 to $240...
Falcon springs $20
And then the shocks mentioned buy AJPS...
And if your budget is bigger again.
You could spend $1200 and buy coil overs like I just did... Plus the other related mods..
Opps... Forgot to add, you need 86 struts to use the PS arms and NCRA's... But Its an alright investment cause you get slightly better brakes..

you can buy my current setup for 700 has everything you need,
short sigma arms, t18 struts, coil overs, adjustable shocks front and rear (rears height adjustable), will throw in some non power steer 86 arms, all you will need to buy is rear springs, as ill need those to hold the ass end up while i wait for my rear shocks from america. coil overs will be sold without camber tops, unless you call it 800.
