4AGTE & regency
Has anyone got a 4agte passed through regency? If so what is needed to get one passed? I've heard you can't retro fit a turbo to an engine but wonder about changing a ze to te as it comes boosted from factory so emissions might be kind of similar.
Might not be neccesiarly related to 4AGTE, but I think Tim.duncan took through his AE86 4AGZE through. Thinking more in terms of forced induction motors.
Might help to list what car you have aswell. Thinking that an AE86 could of had 4AGE / EFI stock, where if its E7 class, it might be a different story.
As much as I know Regency isn't a big help, tried ringing them about the conversion?
Yes, Tim's is registered with the GZE, and had an engineer's sign off for the engine in the chassis.
This was approved by Regency, but only with supporting documentation.

Yeah I have a trueno with a gze and I know that can be sorted with regency but would love to ditch the supercharger for a turbo. My understanding is that retro fitting a turbo means it won't pass emissions however if you can get it emissions tested ( and pass) then it should be registrable. Have just been hoping that someone has done it already so I knew that it is actually possible.
