    theres ways around the law of the engineered cars, and p plates. so not too worried about that. thanks heaps for everyones input. im thinking of jus getting a 84 ae86 sprinter 4age 20v silver top with black top quad throttle bodies t3 polished trumpets and unifilter filters full 2 1/4 exhaust twin tips jus gota get the ecu and loom and stuff wired up. anyone no how much that would cost? oh and plus roady and rego.

    yeah theres ways around it my mate drives an r-33 gtst in his mums name and everytime he gets pulled over he states he has no other car in the family to drive caus his dads got a v8, so i dnt no how the fuck he gets around it as i been in the car with him and i was jus thinking wtf. but laws and rules are getting stricter and stricter.

    wrong in nsw i asked one of the most fucking shit cops around and he said if its engineered its fine for a p plater to drive
    then i showed him my sr in a ke70 lol

    i believe use are both correct, it is illegal if the motor has a bigger capacity of more than .4L above wat u alredy have in your car unless ur on ur full license of course!

    i'm on my p's still and the rta states anything with an engineer report is a modification and illegal to drive but then again ive being pulled over in my ke70 20v and all they do is check the certificate check the car and send me on my way nothing said about driveing a modified car aslong as the car its self is legal so who knows guess its what sort of cop it is as we all know they can pretty much rape you for anything these days

    yeah thanks everyone for the input, looks like ill be going with a 20v silvertop alredy in a car jus needa buy a ecu and tune . probs buy a daily ke70 if anyones selling 1 cheap.
