It's not engine that matters, it's the car. AE71 and KE70 senders are switches while AE86 are sensors. Use the sensor that was on the original engine.
Just wondering if the oil pressure senders on 4age's and 4ac's are interchangeable?
I have got a 16v 4age in my ae71 corolla and it seems to be sending a different kind of oil signal to the light in the dash, so can i just swap the 4ac one into it and be good as gold?
Cheers, Will.

Thanks mate.
Yeh i had a feeling the 4ac that was in the car was a switch type, so obviously the engine i have just put in has a sensor-type sender.
So back to my initial question, will i be able to simply swap them? or will they be different thread pitches? (which i highly doubt, but its easier to ask than, find out the 'other' way)
Cheers

all the A-series blocks are just variations of each other. The thread is identical between all of them
