Heres an example of a cheap banger. Ca18det s2 blue bird
Ive always wanted to build a CA blue bird for cheaps
S3 bluebird $300
Ca18det and loom $600
S13 Coilovers, hubs, knuckles etc $800
R31 diff $150
Tailshaft $180
Seat and wheel $200
Remove ca20 bolt in ca18det, re wire
Install coilovers, get alignment
Cut mounts off r31 diff and weld bluebird mounts in ( get tailshaft made)
Slam and do skids for under $2500
Cressy options.
A) replacecracked cylinder head, and water pump
B) source replacement 4m
C) fit 5m
D) fit 7m
Z) 2J the ####
N) 5m with bike carbs
2j if you can afford it.
5m if not.
1j s2000 would be heaps cool!

i would really like to do 2jzge on throttles, but it seems kinda pointless, when you consider what is technically possible. But 5M on bike carbs will be looked into would like it to be somewhat period correct.
The s2 customer wants 400kw, so for engineering the 1j will be a 1j, but once its done we'll a hybrid 3l. But 400kw and an open roof, yes please.
Theres also talk of an sr r32, i think its pretty gay.

I'll always have respect for a proper built Corolla but they just need so much to be swapped.
4 Cylinder R32 is for nimble handling. Not worth it for skids, or speed but if you want to be able to really throw it into corners then by all means, go for it.
