An expensive camera is nothing if you don't know how to use it, a good photographer using an average camera can easily out shoot a shit photog with an awesome camera.

I have access to Nikon DSLR's and my photo's still suck dick.
If you're looking at a mega good camera without the bs of learning how to use it, you can't go past the canon powershot g11. It takes DSLR quality photos, but is an easy to use point and shoot. Whenever someone is looking at entry level dslr's I recommend looking at/trying out a g11. Well worth the money.
