i got a hp g62 for 400 couple months back. works fine for me but i only use it for the internet, word and excel, probably not suited to gaming or whatever
pretty basic as i only use the net for forums n shit.
it's a compaq altec. not sure on the exact model, im sure theres a later edition out anyway
plenty of ram and hardrive space.

personally id go a charade. my miras sick but really put wheels on a charade and it would be just as cool.
i'd defently try to find a turbo one. if not get a 4 cylinder one.
but i seriously rekomend a daily daihatsu! so reliable, motors are really good, gearbox's and really tight, sound cool.
compared to the 4age ae82 i had before the daihatsu is win!
i pay 30ish for a full tank that will get me 350-400kms depending how you drive
but if you can find cheap mira go that. my mira was 2.5k. worth it to me cause i need somthing cool to drive or i get bored
