microtechs are reliable but you wont get an features youd expect from a decent aftermarket ecu (even if the microtech was made in 2011). everyone knows how to tune them because they run like its an aftermarket ecu from 1992. they dont even adjust air/fuel ratio based on O2 sensor. most people complain if their ecu doesnt accept wideband O2 sensors.....
i say get a haltech if youre gonna spend cash on an ecu.
that said my car is reliable as hell with a microtech and im not gonna bother changing it. i will get my car tuned again with it for more boost

had a few mates get rid of their microtecs in favour of adapts. they were just sick of changing plugs constantly.
much of the muchness really, depends where you live, who can tune it, what features you want and $$$$

i drive a rotary. changing plugs, oil, filters every 3000kms will happen regardless what computer i have. filling it up every 300kms town or 100kms hills will happen regardless of what computer i have
