might be looking at a r32 at the weekend,has few decent mods,and good base to get started
spend a little more and buy a 2 door sti if its gonna be track only. should be able to get one in the country for 7k landed. remove front driveshafts for drift days but youll realise that awd is more fun on the track

s13 would be good,but havnt seen any with decent mods for 5k and not to far away

If s13's out of the price range the only things cheaper are 31's, ke's, sigmas and coronas.
Edit: 32 looks like it could be good.
