Stupid Nissans!!
So my 180 wouldn't fire for the last 2 weeks. Was running fine, then suddenly decided to not start at all. Pulled each coil of 1 by one and checked that each plug had spark. Once spark was confirmed, I made sure there was fuel getting to the rail. Disconnected the fuel line where it connects to the rail and sure enough out comes fuel when the fuel pump primes. Still nothing...
Anyway, only like an hour ago, I decided to turn the key, then bam, fucking thing started and idled fine. Revved it to around 4.5k after a minute of warming up, still no problems. Let it idle another minute then all of a sudden it just slowly lost revvs and died...Now it wont start again.
I am so over it. Moving house soon, and have too much other shit to worry about. Worst thing is I have absolutely no idea at all on what the problem may be, and I have no idea where to start to find it.
Have checked for spark multiple times, same with fuel to rail. I just don't know what else to do! Anyone had similar issues/can offer input
Car is a 180sx with CA18DET for all you playing at home.
How much did you pay for it again man?
please insert engine here
check fuel pressure, again maybe your pump is packing it in (intermitting issue), i dont know much about ca's, check power at the pump also
I had similar issues with a 4age.
1. check all connections dealing with engine loom
2. check injector pulse
3. if no injector pulse, check power to ecu.
if theres power to ecu but no pulse could be ecu isnt getting rpm signal (f'd cas or whatever they use)
