no reason why it wouldn't but just make sure nothing is going to get bent.
It is no different to putting and adjustable cam gear on it. but some engines will not respond to it. I've done it on rb30s, never tried it else where.
you can jump teeth to adjust cam timing and rotate the dizzy to adjust ignition timing yes. will it be worth your while? probably not
i must say after driving an ae86 today they do drive very nice. slow as shit but they drive nice.

not trying to sound like im up my self, timing belts never worried me, from the first one i did (twin cam suby SO EASY!) to now, if you do your shit right and make sure you do everything right, you should be right, slap belt on , turn it over twice by hand, put everything back together, turn key BROOOOOOMMM =D
