    Default 86 Ball Joint Question

Is it normal for the ball joint to be a lightly loose fit into the LCA?

The old one I've just taken out had a small amount of slop in the LCA. The new one I just bought seem's to have removed the slop, but I wouldn't say its snug or a press fit, which I thought it would need to be?

If it is meant to be snug or a press fit, how hard is it to get replacement LCA's?

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers
    Az

Sorry Mod's if this question has been raised before.

Nope the ball joint is press fit and should need a press to take them out and in. I had the same thing happen in an ke70 so I got another lca

    Cheers, thought as much.

How hard is it to find replacement LCA's? Are new ones available, either original or aftermarket?

Standard ae86 LCAs are easy to find a replacement for.

Same as ke70s and there are a million of them, I gave 4 away the other week.
