Default Victorian drift festival. 26&27 February.

Well, apparantly Vicdrift seem to think that everone who drift's is on NS.com and only ever post their events on that site (badly and hidden), plus I hate NS. So im'ma bring you the info you need.

ENTRIES OPEN TOMORROW (tuesday 1/2/11) at 8PM.

    Format:
    Feb 26th Sat - 10am to 10PM
    Feb 27th Sun - 10am to 5pm

Short course only with single slow point prior to Turn 4.

Track time in sessions with outlook to open up as congestion dies off, no comp, no beginners section.

On site camping available but needs to be organise via Winton Raceway, $15/night per person.

$250 an entrant and this covers you for both days and includes entry into the event for both days and 1 pit crew for both days.
$60 for passenger rides and this covers you for both days, this is to ride any any car fitted with a half cage as minimum, VDC will not be providing passenger cars.
    $20/day for spectator entry

Entries will be STRICTLY ONLINE ONLY and you will require a PAYPAL ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD TO MAKE PAYMENT.

Further details will be released later on but its getting close and you guys need to know what the go is, entries will be opened at a later stage but we will inform you of a date and time in advance so everyone is prepared.

Entries will be capped at 150 entrants.

Heres a few things that are need to know:

There is now a 7 DAY pullout window, in which if youve paid to enter and dont cancel before 7 days, you will not receive a refund. This is both good and bad. But mainly good as if you miss out at least you will have a bigger time span if offered a second chance.

Also, this is a touch more interesting:
You can reserve a carport (at the top of the hill) for $100 for the weekend or a garage (down the bottom of the hill) for $220 for the weekend. These will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. These can be organised by phoning Winton on (03) 5766 4235.
As the bottom line states this is a winton raceway decision so dont go busting vicdrifts nuts about it

So basically, two full days of practise. Would have preffered to see something a bit more exciting such as big entry comp's, but hey, this is Victoria. The night drifting at least will bring something different (or more common to some) to it all.

Ill be there in my 86. Who's in?

It would be my first time track-ing it, so two days would be handy! Only thing is not sure if the car would be up to it, just put this engine in, so dont know it very well and havent got any good way to keep an eye on temps ect..
See how im going in a fortnight i guess.

You camping matty or staying in benalla?

    Will.

Man, if its a 4AGE and has oil, it will run all day no issues.

Staying at the caravan park I think, already had a cabin booked before I even knew there was camping, plus its only like $30 a night once its split between like 6 people which is on par with the camping fees but you get an actual bed. Plus caravan park always gets loose. Haha.

Man, if you go in the singles line in group C or whatever you will be fine. You literally learn nothing on the beginners section anyway. I ALWAYS tell people to just go out in the singles line on the main track, even if they have NEVER drifted a car, you learn so much more.
