4age wont run, replaced throttle body.

problem - Engine starts when key is in the "start" position, but turns off strait away when it springs back to the "on" position.

occurs/started when - Hey all, I've just replaced the throttle body on my ae86 with one i grabbed off an ae92 from the wreckers today (Replaced because old throttle bodys return spring on the shaft was screwed). Engine starts and will run for as long as you hold the key in the "start" position, but as soon as it springs back to the "on" position, it dies staright away. Any ideas??

so you grabed a throttle body off a ae92, i assume it was a small port 4age.

is your engine a smallport 4age?

could be the tps sensor is fucked/ needs adjusting.

Found the problem, immobiliser switch is screwed. Thanks for the reply anyway blake.
