    Default Differential Identification

Planning on upgrading my differential for KE70 BT. I've seen two kinds of toyota differentials here in our wreckers. Both are in coil spring configuration. Anyways, just want to know what toyota differential series are these:

Which one should I use? and which one bolts on to the KE70?

So T-series differentials have different kind of carriers? 1st one is from a RT140 Corona and the 2nd one is from a X70 Cressida.

well a t series is a banjo type diff, with 10 bolts holding the center in. if its is from a corona or cressida it wont bolt into a ke70

t series from a jdm sprinter or a te72 (t-18) will bolt in with the tailshaft and handbreak cables from the car you pull the diff from.

Top looks like an AE86 unit. Note the long stud at the 7 o'clock position

T-series (and other diffs) have 10-bolts holding the diff to the housing - like both pictured

    S-series only has 8
