building the car will let him know exactly how much work and dedication goes into it, he's not going to go out and trash it in a hurry... It's also going to make him keen to do track days and the like which will in turn make him a better driver in comparison to the general population.

    Good luck with it all!

    Cheers Guys

that is the idea behind the build is to give relevance and mechanical understanding to him, also he has to save up his money to buy specific things for the car so he has appreciation as to the cost involved in building the car, the plan is for him to get out on the track in hill climb and controlled events so he has abiltiy prior to gaining his licence, and understanding of car control.

Thats awesome. i wish i had a dad like that...

i dunno about the whole "if you build it yourself you will appreciate it and not thrash it" philosophy, it can turn to shit and turn into "fuck man, ive spent sooo long building this thing I JUST WANNA DRIVE THE BALLS OFF IT!!!!!!"

    Good luck!

The diff is in, aside from a small issue called the calipers hitting on the rear shocks, and requiring a complete change of caliper location it was straight forward

I am very impressed with the quality of the BC kit and a huge bonus is the ability to shorten or lengthen the shock length to ensure the coil is always captured, it would appear better that the T3 coil over kit at first impression.

The diff has been rebuilt and detailed and fillted, also fitter the ST141 rear sway bar which is about 5mm heavier than the AE86

SH Bonnet and Guard have been fitted and the repairs to the RH front completed, and as you can see the gaps are spot on as are all the cross measurements, cant wait to see it painted, will be painted in the latest technology, Glasurit 90 line water borne with scratch resistant ceramic clear, should look sensational.

What can I say perfect stance, and still has 1.5 inches to drop if required

    Looking good

Spaced to perfection, the beauty of +0 offset and the ST141 diff being 10mm wider= perfect tyre spacing on the rear

The engine has been ordered and should be here in the next week or 2, it is a 2000 model Altezza package with 60,000 kms, cant wait to begin the conversion and get the whole NA induction sound plus some reasonable power happening.

    Cheers Guys
