Just turn up the idle screw alot... what revs does it sit on before it dies?
hey guys, being this my first real car, i having trouble learning to fix things hahahaha. anyway, not sure if all cylinders are firing, and the engine cuts out when i stop or sit in neutral. wondering if anybody with good experiences with a 4ac or anybody knowledgeable could come and have a listen/look. can supply some beers and a bbq or something, jsut would be great as being a UNI student, money is slow.
regards in advance, Khai

ive slammed all the screws, it revs high around 1500+, had it idling find on 900, then i reversed out fine but as soon as i drove and got to my first stop sign.........cut out.

okay so update, fucked around with idle screw, so it idles around 600 and doesnt cut out anymore, but now i get a massive flatspot when accelerating at the start. any ideas?
Idle mix screw?
like ill sit in neutral and get it so its out of the flat spot and hold the accelerator on 2k rpm, it will rather quickly just go 1800..2000.1800.2000.1800..2000
Could be losing spark, or fuel
Checked Sparkplugs?
Checked Ignition leads? Distributor cap??? Coil ?
Checked Fuel filter? Fuel Pump???
no. i think one cylinder is miss firing. im really new to all this and no nothing, trying to learn from forum asnwers from people who talk like i know what they are saying half the time. hahahahaha. just put new ngk plugs, nothing. might try leads but they r newish. when i look at a jet inside the carby throat, i see it kinda of plurting fuel when in those flat spots.
