Pecky is too pretty to get his hands dirty.
Okay story time;
Once upon a time in the sleepy town on Bangalow, Jacob was completing work at the local credit union, looking smashing in his corporate attire complete with smart people glasses he skipped along to his vehicle a mint condition 1982 Toyota Corolla sedan, complete with tidy blacktop 20v conversion, and so began the tedious journey of driving himself and his girlfriend to the one and only Queensland Raceway for Friday night drift practice.
After meeting up with his life partner Jack who was coming along for some passenger runs, we entered the venue, quickly rushed to the office and paid to get onto the track. The time was 8:30 so i only had 1 hour 30 to drive, wasting no time i tossed everything out of my car, but before i could start my engine a stranger runs up and says,
"Jacob!"
to which i reply, "hey hows it going....who are you",
"it's Hachi Tom from superglory/ae86"
"Do you have a passenger band"
"Yes"
"Helmet?"
"Yep"
"Get in the car lets go"
We do many glorious drifts, i did turn 3 of QR in a 4a powered Corolla, to which everybody knows the only way is to slide the whole corner with your rear wheels in the dirt.
I then returned to the pit lane and picked up Life Partner aka Jack, i do many more glorious drifties and dirt dips, i pull up to turn 6 and the marshall (lovely chap) informs my that my presence is requested in the Office. I shit ma pants thinking im getting booted for dirt dipping and generally being a legend. I get to the office and the lady asks who was in the car, i tell her "life partner" she doesn't get the joke so i walk to the car and she informs us that there has been a lovely spectator come up to them and say "Those guys in the red corolla have been drinking" (it's blood orange dickheads) we get breath tested and sent on our merry way.
More glorious skids and then its time to go home. I pack up my things and continue on my way.
The next morning i wake up at my friend Taylors house, we piss fart around until 1:30 when we embark on our journey to the Freeworks x Street Karnage 2 meet up/BBQ. On the way there i get tailed by a police motorbike for a few kilometres of him staring at my poorly welded guards and failure to paint them, lowdown corolla and general awesomness. I assume he checked if my car was registered and then continues on his merry way (luckily i paid my renewal two days beforehand).
Get to the meet, talk a whole heap of shit with new found friends Kevin, other random dudes and Mereki aka Trikzlane. Eat some BBQ sausages (or snags as Jerm would refer to them as). Trying to keep up with the cool levels of the high powered and flamboyantly coloured s13's that were disembarking, i got on the brakes and did some epic bogan burnouts, we then drove back to Taylors house.
Later that night we attended the Auszoku dinner, at some random Japanese place, sat around, talked smack, discussed golf adventures and directions on how to get there. Which i later discovered we weren't doing (i was a sad panda and sooked, went home and didn't go out afterwards)
The next day was the day we'd all been waitng for, Classic Japanese Show and Shine 2011 at Lakeside. Got there super early at 8:00am, hardparked like boss', set up the auszoku tent and used a 14x10 steelie as a seat. After sitting for 2 hours we got to watch the drag races, after 3 hours of drag races i had almost had enough and was packing up to leave and head back to Lismore, they called everyone onto track for the ~cruise. I packed user: -pigeonspec- and Taylor into my car and went out, we were sedate for a couple laps and then all hell broke loose as Auszoku took over. We started drag races down the straight, me vs mereki battle of n/a and forced induction, needless to say forced induction won. Then we started sliding the second corner as we discovered the Marshall was reading a book. Many laps of skids, trying to run Mereki off the road, drag races and generally being louts we pulled off and parked. Fun was had by all.
Drove back to Taylor house, collected my belongings and set off on our merry way to Bangalow. Great weekend with heaps of good people and good times. Definitely needs to happen again <3
ill leave you with this one photo and many kisses and smartie parties LOL
