yea so its been a while. been busy with tafe and work. but have been getting a little work done.

Finished the welding then hit all the exposed metal with rust kill primer to stop it from rusting. Am now onto the job of bogging all the seams in the engine bay. Got the left hand side 75% done but ran out of bog! so will get more tomorrow, any thats it for now.

So i got a bit done on the car today. mostly bogging and sanding, only about half way done. still have a fair amount of work to do, but will get it done soon enough. let us know what you think.

still need to fill a few dips and hollows.

not going to like what im about to say, but all that bog work and smoothing in 12 or so months will start falling off/out

It's gunna crack up like a mother fucker when you start driving the car hard ...other wise it's looking sweet what colour you painting the bay.

yea i had a feeling it might, hopefully because i welded most of the bay it should stay intact, but if it does, meh im painting it battleship grey, i think there is a pic of a few pages earlier of what the colour will look like.

Bog.... Hmm that bog is like the bog that comes out of your ass, it's not designed to stay in.
I learnt my lesson when I was 17, it eventually cracks and comes to pieces

yea its just standard bog. I could have used fibregalss stuff, but dont know how much difference it would have made, plus its a bitch to work with. In hind sight i probabaly shouldnt have welded the bay or should have gotten someone who can weld better to do it.

But my initial aim of this project was to do as much of the work as i could myself, so i thought i would give it a go. Guess the best thing to take from this is that i have learnt from my mistakes

bog shouldnt just fall out if the area has been preped proper before the bog was placed. and i little tip with bog, the neater and cleaner u put it in, makes a whole lot difference wen sanding it out to make it smooth.
