ok so haven't really done much with the car, just got a few parts for it. was moving the car the other night and found the stud i thought i snapped( was sitting in between the brake backing plate and the disk)
new wheel stud and nut and a genuine toyota rear main seal (ordered in a new head gasket, am picking it up tomorrow)
also damage from the tyre coming off
still have to get a new set of spark plugs and a new gearbox mount. will probs get some work done on the car in the coming week.
ok got a bit of work done on the car today. picked up my head gasket and some gearbox oil.
started by taking the shifter off, taking the shaft and taking some of the gearbox bolts off. (some were stuck on, too much loctite. so am leaving them over night with some wd40 on them)
hoping to get it done and have it back together by tomorrow evening, then its onto taking the head off![]()
thanks man, haha sounds like you've been having to much fun in the vlsounds good.
cheers dude, much appreciated
are either of you guys free on the weekend sometime? a bbq could be arranged.
Pretty flat out this weekend, will see if i can free up some time.
if you could that would be greatbut if your too busy i understand. shoot us a pm if you get any free time.
have been a bit lazy lately. Gearbox still isn't out of the car, need to get the right sized socket piece for two of the gearbox bolts(will get tomorrow).
Did get round to pulling the intake off and draining out the coolant.
found out that i had a break in my intake gasket, so have to get a new one of those. which type of gasket should i be using, the broken on or the un broken one? i'm not running tvis.
also picked up some ae82 temperature sensors, so hopefully this should fix my running rich problem.

Just saw your posts, I was away over the weekend so would have been no help.
I'd just ditch the tvis gasket and run the "broken" one.
But a new one of course.![]()
