What do people think of this?
I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota Japan ran some ads like this... but Toyota US?
The Hatsune Miku craze is spreading but for a huge company like Toyota to use it in a commercial intended for English speakers (and Americans at that) is a
totally unexpected and strange step. Most Americans wouldn't know what Miku or Vocaloid is let alone somehow make it want them to buy a Corolla...
I'm a fan of Vocaloid but after the initial 'Whoa!" factor even I think this was a silly and not very well executed move.
people are going to buy the car they want pretty much regardless, ads are there just to remind you of their company and what new products they have so they could pretty much just do anything and it wouldnt effect sales, unless they actually put some effort in then maybe it would but yeh most ads like this one are just retarded and made by kids with university degrees but no intelligence (requires very little actual intelligence to get a degree).
The corolla miku has made me consider burning all my toyotas and buying a commodore.
the 'corolla' you own (ae86) was not created by the same people, think of it that way.
