Default 4agte piston and conrod question

    hey guys,
got my self a 16v bigport 4age from a ae82 corolla, my plans are to rebuild it and add a turbo,
so my questions are, will pistons and conrods from a 4agze go stright in with the 4age crank? also i will be aiming at a healthy 180kw will the 4agze pistons and conrods hold up? or should i go for a forged brand? any other imformation regarding turboing a 16v bigport 4age will be greatly appreciated.

ps. i have searched for a few days but can not seem to get a clear answer..

thank you in advance for your help.

They will go on literally every crank EXCEPT yours - GZE stuff fits '42mm' bigend crank, which is GZE/smallport 4AGE/silvertop and blacktop 20V. You, unfortunately, have a '40mm' crank.

GZE rods are very strong, and the pistons are even better - you won't have any problems with the power figure you're aiming for

this is correct but in the same note and to save you asking the crnanks are interchangeable from big 42mm and small 40mm so find yourself a big crank some jworks rods and like a wisco piston (wisco are the best) and you have yourself a bulletproof bottomend
    the dyno pull to 300rwkw

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

i just finished building my gte and its doing fine, 204hp (about 150kw i think is the conversion) at the wheels on 12psi at 12.5:1 afr injectors only at 64%dc. im only using factory ae101 gze pistons (about $100ea from toyota) and the rest is standard st20v bottom end. spend your $$$$ on things like arp rod bolts and head studs, a decent head gasket (im using a commetic one from performance wholesale coz the trd one got lost in shipping) and go for gold.

thankx for the input guys, so from what you guys are saying, i will not be able to run the gze stuff unless i get a gze crank? correct? would it be cheaper to go down the route gze crank, pistons and j works conrods? or could i just get forged pistions and conrods for my motor 40mm crank?

i would dare say get the bigger crank from a small port or GZE or 20V, i guess it would be a better starting base

you might as well grab a 7 rib bottom end so you get the better crank, rods and block.
get a hone if your staying std or you can get it bored and get 20thou or 40thou over sized gze pistons from toyota (i went 40thou since they were all the same price)
that way you have all the good gear.
get the block and head decked
throw in some good rings, bearings, studs and bolts.
slap on a good headgasket and go n play
ps. 7mgte injectors are 440cc and drop into the bigport fuel rail but need different plugs on the wiring loom
