    Any help appreciated.

Also on idle when starting cold, it has a very bad idle. If i dont keep the revs up(just like 1000) it will stall or idle real shakey then once its starting to warm up it balances out and is normal.
Not sure if thats just the way it is.

    Running bt 20v with itbs.
    Cheers matt

That is the fuel reg, and you certainly do need it.

At the moment, your engine is running maximum fuel pressure all the time, even at idle and starting. I dare say that the cause of the rough running is due to the engine running very rich and flooding the engine when trying to start.

Reconnect the vacuum line and you will need to get some EFI rated fuel hose to connect the reg to the fuel return line. Id also suggest getting some new spark plugs, those ones are prolly a little fouled from running so rich.

The only reasons it would've been taken off is because of ignorance, or it came off accidently, or the owner (or 'friend' of an owner) was a moron.

Like slide86 said, you'll just be getting a bit too much fuel at idle with it unplugged.
