If u dont want to slide... Bridgestone RE55s for sure... Thats gonna my next set... heard very good things about the tire... Lap record holder for Tsukuba Circuit...

One of the best rain tyres i've ever used is Falken FK451

Best All rounder Continental ContiSport Contact 2 (general driving- its almost impossible to stack it on this tyre... sooo forgiving... breaks away sooo slowly and fuckloads of warning... good in the wet too.)

Yoko A539 is a good choice
toyo ts1-r and dunlop FM901 also good

If ur willing to go to the trouble of importing... Yoko Advan ad07 and BS RE-01R are THE best for street high performance...

I've tried all of these tyres except for Re55 and Ad07....
(Not all on the 86 i'm afraid so i'm not sure if they come in the right size)

as with sizes... 195/50/15 i reckon is the way to go...

On the jdmstyletuning forums, a member there has just imported a container of RE01-R's in various sizes. They are not cheap though.

Ive got Yoko 539's on my car and they are great although and they have worn fairly well for the punishment they have taken.
I have got 205/50/15's, i do not recommend going that wide. fine on the back but scrub a little on the front if you go through a bump on full lock.
195/50 would be an excellent choice.
