So due to a lack of time and money, I'm taking the hard step of parting this car out and commencing a ground up rebuild. The turbo beams motor package will be sold soon with mounts and crossmembers etc. Details TBA in the Kaizen Garage section. Most other parts will be sold to fund the buildup, all the wheels are gone already
Seems like a backwards step but I was stuck between needing to do work to the car to keep drifting it (it pretty much didnt get touched in 16 months of constant use) but not having the time or money to do it the way I wanted to. So I'd rather cut it back, raise the funds and then redo things how I want as I can afford to.
The good part is, in terms of getting the workshop known and showing what we and Adaptronic can do, the car has been a huge success so I'm happy with that!
I'll try and document the rebuild in this thread. Don't think I'll be able to retake the most viewed title back from Medwin though - unless I start bumping my members ride thread like old mate :greenbounce:
Anyway the new motor is already in stock. No real suprise when when you see it in the bay hopefully within a few weeks. It's Toyota of course, and also has VVT-i to keep the Adaptronic workload up a bit. To the best of my (google) knowledge it may be a world first for an 86 too... more soon....
